ILHS Earth Day

2023

Second-ever Earth Day event at ILHS!

What's ILHS Earth Day?

The ILHS Earth Day event 2023 was on April 19th. The entire day was dedicated to learning about our planet, how to take action against climate change and pollution, and protect our local and global environments. We had have guest speakers from Cascadia College, various volunteer organizations and nonprofits, and activities like trail clean-ups and soil and water testing. We hope students learned new things and gain an appreciation for Earth’s systems and environments, and learned more about what they can do to help!

Earth Day was entirely student-organized, from inviting guest speakers and student presenters to putting together the schedule to preparing the salad bar and bake sale for lunch!

Volunteers Needed!

We need adult volunteers to assist with supervision and getting attendance on Earth Day! Times are broken up into shifts, so you don't need to stay the whole day, though you are invited to.
