Clubs and Interest Groups
Only Clubs can request funds or have fundraisers! Want your interest group to become a club? Email innovationlabasb@gmail.com or Liliella Eaton (Clubs and Activity Liaison) at 2007642@apps.nsd.org !
How do I join a club?
On any Flex Wednesday, simply choose the club you want to join on your Google Form, and show up! More detailed information can be found by asking that club's president or advisor.
When do clubs meet?
Clubs meet on Wednesdays during slots 4 or 5. Some clubs may also meet after school during Study Hall times.
How do I start my own club/interest group?
First, decide if you want to start a club or an interest group. A club is an ASB funded activity group, so this allows you to raise money for projects and supplies. An interest group is an activity group that is not sponsored by ASB, so if you need funds, you'll need to find sponsors or raise your own without being associated with ASB. Clubs are expected to fundraise as well, but may be granted money to start them off to be able to organize fundraisers.
Then, find a group of at least three people that are also interested as well as a teacher to advise your club, and present your idea to the ASB. We'll ask for a purpose statement, fundraising plan, and plan for spending money if applicable.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for students to start clubs and groups! If you ever get confused, please stop by an ASB meeting (we meet on Mondays after school and every other Tuesday after school) or email us at innovationlabasb@gmail.com!
