March 4th For Climate!

Updates on our Instagram page @ilhs.climateaction!

What's March 4th for Climate all about?

March 4th for Climate is a community event where people can come together to learn about climate change, our local environments, volunteering opportunities, and ways they can get involved.

Hear from youth, teachers, activists, scientists, and more community members.

Through various booths you can learn about our environment, climate change, pollution, and what you can do to play your part in making the world a better place.

The event will also include the WA for our Future art expo, featuring art from K-12 students! Activities for kids and people of all ages including chalk art, hands-on learning about ecosystems and pollution, and more!

Our ultimate goal with this event is to raise awareness and convince Washington State to declare a climate emergency. Why? So that we can:

We invite everyone to join in and show support for climate action and find out what you can do to help while encouraging and pushing for legislative action!

About the Organizers

March 4th for Climate is organized by the Innovation Lab High School Climate Action Club!

Founded in 2020, the Climate Action Club was one of the first clubs of Innovation Lab High School, with the goal to raise awareness of climate change, advocate for climate action, make our school greener, and amplify student voices. And we have carried working with that goal, creating and teaching lessons on climate action for elementary schools in 2020-2021, and partnering with Cedar Grove for composting at ILHS in 2021-2022.

This year, our goal is to convince Washington State to declare the climate emergency.
