Does it matter what format I buy the text in? No, buy whatever works best for you! eText is usually the cheapest. If you prefer a hard copy, there should be less expensive used copies online.
Do I have to buy it from the bookstore? No
I found a cheaper version of the textbook online; can I buy that? YES...as long as it is the 6th edition and has a total of 26 chapters.
Do I need the textbook right away? Yes
Will I need to bring the textbook to class? No, you will be using it to answer homework questions on your own.
Is an older edition of the book ok? No chapters have been shifted around and content has changed.
I ordered my text but it won’t be here for a week. What should I do? Our amazing librarians have scanned the first 2 chapters we need so you can use that while waiting.

While this is an in-person class, we will use the Canvas Learning Management System for announcements, assignment submittal, reference documents, and grade tracking.
Canvas can be accessed from the ARC main webpage and log in with your W-ID and ARC password. The easiest way to learn this system is to start clicking around within the course and exploring the different tools.
You will need regular and reliable access to a computer, tablet or smartphone with Internet access (Computers for Students). Canvas can run on a variety of devices and with a variety of modern web browsers or as a downloadable app. It is your responsibility to make sure you are using an updated browser and up-to-date plug-ins.
