Section 11105/11106: Monday and Wednesday 12:30 - 3:25 pm in Science Room 415
Lecture material, handouts, and assigned readings will provide an overview of biology. Lectures will be accompanied by handouts and may also include slides, active discussions, and case studies. The course also includes a separate lab. The lab portion of the class is designed to give you a hands-on learning experience and to illustrate the concepts introduced in lecture. Points from lecture and lab will be combined so you will receive one overall grade for the class. See Course Requirements for descriptions of these components.
This course has no prerequisites and you can do just fine with no previous biology or science background. The class does have the following advisories. These provide you a background set of skills for college level reading that will help; however, students without these advisories can still succeed with a little more time or some supplemental help.Â
Eligible for ENGRD 310 or ENGRD 312 AND ENGWR 300; OR ESLW 340.
