Math Placement for 7th Graders

VMSS would like you to know that in the spring, all 6th graders will be screened for appropriate math placement as 7th graders. Criteria includes cognitive and standardized test achievement data, the Algebra Prognosis Assessment score, proficiency in the 7th grade math curriculum, and math teacher input. Some students will be invited to enroll in Accelerated Algebra I based on the above criteria. Proficiency of 7th grade targets is an important part of determining appropriate math placement.
