Each spring the Parent Booster Club sponsors the Presidential Academic Awards Ceremony and Breakfast. This takes place at the end of the school year and recognizes students (and parents) for consistently strong academic outcomes in classes throughout their grade 6 to 8 middle school experience. Student who earn a Presidential award are given a certificate, a pin, and are treated along with their parents to a breakfast and social event as a celebration. The ceremony, certificates, pins, and food/beverages are all funded by the Parent Boosters Club.
The President’s Award for Educational Excellence honors students who have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA throughout their middle school years and have scored 85% or higher on their most recent nationally normed math or reading achievement test.
The President’s Award for Educational Achievement honors students who achieve a 3.8 cumulative GPA but did not score 85% on the EXPLORE math or reading segments.
