Trump Announced Two New Holidays
By: Mattie Zo Herring
May 8th is now a holiday according to Trump, and next May 8th, no one will know what's open or closed because it has not been announced yet. It's not just a holiday, it is a national holiday. Trump didn't just announce one holiday but two that were announced on Monday. They represent the end of World War One celebrated on May 8th, and another holiday that is for the end of World War Two that is celebrated on November 11th. I think these are good holidays because they should be honored. Those were some important wars and he made these holidays because we won both. Trump said we don't get the right credit for it and Trump said everyone else takes the credit for it. On November 11th, the holiday is called Victory Day for World War One and on May 8th the holiday is called Victory Day for World War Two. He said that the country won't be closed for the two new national holidays. He announced the two new holidays on May 5th 2025.
