Animals Habitats Getting Destroyed
By: Avery Sarvis
Many animal habitats are getting destroyed. Their habitats are getting destroyed because of people building new houses and apartments. This is a big problem because once the homes are built, the animals have nowhere to go and could get lost. Animals could also get killed because they wouldn't know where to go and could get run over or just die of starvation because they couldn't find any food or any water to drink. Some animals may try to migrate to a different location or move to a surrounding area of land.
In my opinion, it is fine to build new houses and apartments but when it comes to the point that animals are getting killed or lost then that isn’t right and people don’t need to destroy animal habitats. Habitat loss can cause species extinctions. This is bad because animals are important because they provide us with food and fiber.
In conclusion, animals are very important to the environment and they deserve a habitat or somewhere to live without it getting destroyed. Animals are also very beneficial for our health. This is why people don’t need to destroy animal habitats.

My Problem With The School Lunch
By: Austin Hogan
The School lunch has been a thing for years and has been changed many times and I am not a fan of it. The school lunch at my school is kinda not good, and makes me sick like why do we have to eat this stuff. The thing that makes a school lunch bad is it is just frozen food and I feel that people don't like frozen food. Another thing that I don’t like about the school lunch is how they pick food, I think they should make a system that you get to vote on the food for that week. A thing that gets me is how we have to pay for the lunch, I would not want to pay for this stuff because the food looks like crap and they are just so plain. But at the end of the day we should be thankful for the food we are provided with, but all I ask is for toppings like salt, and pepper. At most all I can say is just make the food better but I will be thankful for what we have so enjoy.
Animal Testing
By Abigail Peterlin
I was thinking long and hard about my editorial and decided to write about animal testing. So what is animal testing? Animal testing is the process of using living animals in research to study their reaction to various substances and procedures, often to assess the safety or effectiveness of products like medication, cosmetics, or chemicals. So why do I care so much about this? I care because these animals are abused and neglected. So many of those animals just get thrown away and/or are held in labs or homes. Here are 2 big problems I found. Millions of dogs, mice, and other animals are forced to endure harsh experiments, often without pain relief, and the animals often get branded or tagged. Here is the second problem. Animals are held in sterile, isolated cages, forced to suffer from diseases and injuries, and are typically euthanized at the end of each study. A big thing in the cosmetic area is animal testing. So many brands say they do or don't test, which can end up in lawsuits. So which companies don't test? Well here are some: Amika, Charlotte Tilbury, Goop, and so many more. Well what are some companies that are not cruelty-free? Aveeno, Ate, and Benefit are just some brands to avoid. Where can you find this information? You can find it on crueltyfreekitty.com. Did you know that in the USA alone there are 1,200+ animal testing labs that can house over thousands of animals? So in conclusion, animal testing can be very stressful on the animal and harmful to humans.
