On October 20th, 2026 our Mount Pleasant Middle School softball team played the Roberta Road Middle School softball team in our first playoff game. We played at home on our softball field and won ten to eight in a comeback 6th inning. We struggled the first few innings and finally in the 6th inning we hit the ball and came back. I felt like we were not very loud in the first few innings and then we had a girl on our team get hype. When we got hype and very loud our batters felt more hope and we started winning! That was our first playoff game and we play the Harris Road Middle School softball team at Northwest High School next. Go Tigers!

Powderpuff Game

By: Evelyn Greene

On Monday October 26th 2026 we had the powderpuff game at Mount Pleasant Middle School. Our seventh and eighth grade girls play flag football for fun while the boys cheer on the sidelines. Our eighth grade girls beat the seventh grade girls thirty seven to zero and remained undefeated. The powderpuff game was played on the football field. Our eighth grade girls scored five touchdowns and got one safety. Both grades practiced Friday and Monday during their encore periods. Powderpuff is a very entertaining and fun game to watch. So if you are in sixth or seventh grade right now I highly recommend that you participate next year whether you are a boy or a girl. If you don't want to participate, at least watch because it is really fun! During halftime the boys put on a really funny halftime show. They also did a relay race and throwing competition between kids in the school.
