A Lost Friend
By: Olivia Taylor
A lost friend,
She disappeared in a flick of a wrist,
Leaving behind nothing but a number to click send,
And an empty chair in the end.
Not even a goodbye exists.
The only one that listened.
Without judgmental eyes
Or fake smiles
But still no goodbyes
Only miles.
Someone to talk to,
Someone to listen to,
The time flew,
But now she’s lost in the blue.
I walk the halls with a new crowd,
Your empty seat is filled,
And your number is yelling send.
Still I try to seem proud in the end.
