Power Of A Woman
Written by: Olivia Taylor
Women. How many times have women been doubted, questioned, or even ignored? The answer to this is many times which is very depressing especially for women. Women have been doubted since the very beginning when men had the say in everything from politics all the way down to the most simplistic decisions. The good thing is women now have a say in everything as well as men do today in the U.S. But the worst thing is that not all women in the world have these opportunities as we do in the U.S. Even some women in the U.S. have not done or accomplished everything a man has, like how we have never had a woman as a president.
The Olympics just finished and many women have broken many records set by a man or have only been done by a man in that country. Even Olympic stars are hoping a young girl will see her and be inspired, interested, or even have the urge to be able to do such a thing because they want little girls to be able to do as their hearts desire or as far as their dreams go. We need more of this around the world, we need girls to feel welcomed, to feel that they can do anything they put their minds to. If we have girls doubting themselves, feeling as if something is not possible for them then how are future generations going to be sparked with imagination and creativity? The world will never be improved. The power of a woman is strong and we need to show and be more open to possibilities to younger girls.
