This month I had the opportunity to sit down with Mrs. Martin, 6th grade Math teacher and here are some things I learned about her. Staff Writer: Lucas R.
Did you watch the superbowl and if so what were your thoughts on it?
No, I did not.
What's your favorite day of the week and why?
Saturday because I'm home.
What's your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas because I can spend time with my family.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I wanted to help students achieve their goals.
Why did you choose math to teach?
Because I like math.
If you could experience one season for the rest of your life, what season would you pick and why?
Fall because of the cool weather.
7. Who is your favorite co-worker and why?
I can't pick just one, my whole 6th grade team.
8. If you could visit one country for the holidays, what country would you visit?
Germany.
9. If you could be one animal what would you be?
A tiger because I’m fierce.
10.What was your dream job as a kid?
A vet.
11. Who is your inspiration?
My grandmother.
12.What are your thoughts on A.I.?
Don't have any right now.

Q1: What’s your favorite color?
“Teal.”
Q2: What do you like to do outside of school?
“Read, binge watch TV series, and do my nails.”
Q3: What’s your favorite book?
“Harry Potter series, Eragon series.”
Q4: Who were you rooting for in the superbowl?
“ It didn’t really matter to me, I just watched it for the halftime show.”
Q5: What’s your favorite TV show/ Movie?
“Stranger Things.”
Q6: Why did you start teaching?
“My mom was a teacher, and I’ve always liked working with kids.”
Q7: If you were to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
“Anything Mexican.”
Q8: What’s something you fear the most?
“Roaches, and my family’s safety.”
Q9: Who is your idol and why?
“My dad, because he always showed patience and forgiveness and always took the time to listen.”
Q10: What’s a song you would listen to for the rest of your life?
“Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga.”
Q11: What’s your dream place to travel to?
“Right now, Paris, but Japan as well.”

“Follow your heart when making decisions, and take the time to listen to people.”

Q1: What are some of your favorite hobbies?
“I love doing crafts, puzzles, and reading books.”
Q2: What is one thing you own that you can't live without?
“My dogs and chocolate because I need both.”
Q3: What is your favorite book?
“Probably the book I'm listening to right now called Fae Magic by Chandelle Lavaun.”
Q4: How many years have you been teaching?
“Eighteen years in all.”
Q5: What is your favorite season?
“Spring because it is not too hot or cold.”
Q6: What did you think your career would be when you were a kid?
“I always cared about teaching or something in education.”
Q7: What do you want to experience the most on your bucket list?
“International travel. Like picking a place and traveling there.”
Q8: What are your biggest fears?
“Spiders, specifically tarantulas?”
Q9: If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
“England, so I can learn more about my family’s history.”
Q10: How does music impact you?
“Music is something that simulates me and that I can connect to.”
Q11: Do you have any hidden talents, if so what is it?
“In school I played the violin for a long time and also percussion.”
Q12: If you had to eat a type of food for the rest of your life what would it be?
“Potatoes because you could eat them in many different ways.”
