Romeo and Juliet is the classic tragedy about two young lovers from feuding families meeting, falling in love, and meeting their tragic end. It is easily among William Shakespeare's most famous and often performed plays to this day.
Written during the Elizabethan era and in poetry form, this selection does cause some understandable challenges for students. Most of the work will be read and discussed in class; however, some outside work for the story will be necessary with assignments such as study guides.
