We are seeking graduate level Mental Health Counselor Students and/or Marriage+RelationshipTherapist Students for our internship program. This internship includes training and experience in Radically Open-DBT, weight-inclusive care, and exercise+sport in the treatment of eating disorders.
Start date for internship can be at various times in the calendar year.
Intern would provide individual therapy, relationship therapy and group therapy.
Must be able to commit to 20 hours a week.
All hours will be Monday - Friday between 8am-6pm
Interns must be available to be onsite three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday are required. Then, the third day can be either Monday or Friday. There is the possibility of spreading weekly hours over four days instead of three, if it's determined it will be mutually beneficial for the intern and Opal.
Required Meeting Attendance
All Staff Meeting: Wednesdays, 2:15pm- 3:45pm
Therapist group supervision: Tuesday 12pm - 1pm
Intern group supervision: Wednesdays 10am-11am (in 2024 Wed group supervision time might need to change for current cohort of interns)
Individual Supervision: TBD, weekly but can work around intern schedule
30 - 60 minutes per day (virtually), for email and team collaboration, on weekdays that the intern is not physically present in-person at Opal
