The same guidelines noted for in person visits will be the same for video sessions. The emphasis on emotional safety, creating positive memories and enjoyable shared time applies here as well. A few additional guidelines will apply:
1. The Supervisor will set up and send the link to the child/ren’s guardian or possessory parent and the visiting parent/family members. In the event of a technical difficulty, the Supervisor will make the attempt to reach out to the adults to remedy the situation. If the connection can not be resumed, the adults will discuss the appropriateness of continuing the time through a phone call or rescheduling.
2. The Supervisor will discretely communicate with the parent via text messaging during the visit to provide coaching. The child/ren may privately text the Supervisor if s/he is uncomfortable or has concerns during the visit.
3. The Supervisor may request time with the parent or other adults to address any concerns outside of the scheduled visit. The adults may request time with the Supervisor with concerns as well. Time exceeding 15 minutes may be subject to prorated charges at $2.00 a minute.
