A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

August 4, 2021

Dear Anna ISD Family,

The COVID-19 crisis has continued to challenge our nation, state, and community in ways that we could have never imagined. Through these uncertain times, we have endeavored to continue providing the best educational opportunities for our students. I am very proud of our staff's efforts to continue to meet the needs of our students and the expectations of our community. Last November, our staff and students returned to a traditional face-to-face learning environment through the continued support of the Anna ISD Board of Trustees. Our data demonstrates that this return greatly benefitted our students.

Anna ISD is bringing all students to class in person, with no virtual option for the 2021-2022 school year. Wearing masks will remain optional. We will continue our efforts to ensure the safety of all our 4,300+ students and 650+ staff members by continuing to follow state and local guidance and monitoring the pandemic in our state and community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to campuses and district activities.

It's a Great Day To Be A Coyote!

Sincerely,
Michael S. Comeaux
Superintendent of Anna Independent School District

PARENT CHOICES FOR Learning

In Anna ISD we know that students benefit most from in-person learning; therefore, we are returning to full in-person learning beginning in the fall of 2021. This decision may not be suitable for all families. Other options would include withdrawing student(s) from Anna ISD and homeschooling student(s) or enrolling in a full-time TX Virtual School Network Operator.
