Artist Statement

I can't remember a time when art class wasn't my favorite class. I've always loved creative endeavors no matter what they are. Although I was always doing something creative as a child I didn't commit to art as a hobby until the beginning of my sophomore year. I knew about Visual Arts Portfolio and couldn't wait to take it my junior and senior years. Visual Arts Portfolio and all ANC art classes, have been such a wonderful resource for me to use to express myself. I never thought I'd be comfortable creating art in front of a class. In fact, after attending my first Visual Arts Portfolio class, I got so scared that I thought about dropping the class. But I couldn't be happier that I stayed. I've grown a lot as an artist during my time at ANC and I can't wait to grow even more next year!
