Artist Statement
When I was growing up I loved doing art. Along with drawing, one of my favorite things to do was create inventions made out of taping paper together that were poised to change the world for the better, and make me millions in the process. Sadly, none of my inventions ever really took off, and although my mom was an art teacher I started to deny her offers to help teach me things about art as I grew up. As I left art in the background, I began to realize that when I was required to do artistic assignments or just felt like doodling I wasn't very good at it. I felt like drawing stick humans was not the way I wanted to live the rest of my life, and I decided to take Art Portfolio to push myself and try to become better at a skill I honestly really enjoyed. Throughout the year I got noticeably better and although I was often very stressed with certain assignments, taking Visual Arts Portfolio is one of the best decisions I made.
