“Springtime - Birth and Rebirth”

This evening as I prepare this message, the skies have decided to open once again and shower snowflakes over the wilderness behind my home. The snow is not heavy and alternately changes back and forth to rain, but I have to say, I am ready for springtime, that time of birth and rebirth, when the leaves begin budding on the trees, and the grass peaks out from beneath the snow and the mud in my backyard. There’s a clarity in the air and a spiritual, invigorating feeling that fills me, that makes me feel like I am reborn.

This is such an appropriate time to start as the new Master of the Mountain Rose Pronaos. New energy is welling up within me, the energy needed to serve all of you, the members of the pronaos, to provide new growth and commitment to the Order. It’s important to remember that we are not just a local pronaos, but a vital link in the worldwide mystical order of people who seek the higher truths and Cosmic enlightenment. We, as Rosicrucians, must realize that in order to reap the full benefits as AMORC members, there are three levels of participation: our home sanctum studies, our local affiliated body, and our Grand Lodge activities, which include initiations and events at Rosicrucian Park, and international conventions and tours.

I hope to enlist as many of you who are interested to think about activities that the pronaos can provide which interest you personally, perhaps something you are good at doing that isn’t being done. Let me know and we’ll see what can develop.

With the advent of each new Master, the pronaos is reborn; some activities stay, while new activities may take the place of previous ones. For my year as Master, some of the changes will depend on the feedback I receive from the members.

I included the words “Birth and Rebirth” in the title of this message, as I feel the following is happening. For me, having never served as an officer of the pronaos, it is a time of birth, being born into the inner life of the pronaos, allowing me to grow as an individual and illumine my soul personality. For the pronaos, it is a time of rebirth, as a new master enters the sanctum and brings her personality to bear upon the unique personality of the Mountain Rose Pronaos. The merging of these two events, the birth and rebirth, will result in an enhanced spiritual entity, as we all participate in bringing light to the world.
