In this writing project, students used what they learned about persuasive writing to write a text on Book Creator. They were required to use capitalization and punctuation. Students then uploaded their book to a Padlet that was shared with the class, and students gave each other feedback through writing comments.

The students enjoyed being creative in making their books. First graders typically do very well in our opinion writing unit. We were able to reinforce and practice using capitalization and punctuation while typing. Students will continue to work throughout the remainder of the year to improve these skills. The students also loved to comment on their friends work, and enjoyed receiving comments.
