As part of our Teacher's College Reader's Workshop, students worked to make audiobooks to share with the Kindergarten class. This was in Unit 4, Be the Boss of Your Reading. To create these, we used FlipGrid. Below, you will see some of their work.

Overall, the students did a great job reading their books. The creating of the audiobooks is to help build fluency through prosody and intonation. They rehearsed their books in lessons prior to recording. An area to look to improve next year, is finding a way to limit background noise of the other children reading independently. Allisson can typically be a shy student, it was great to see her feel comfortable to talk about different parents of the book as she read.
