In first grade, children learn about school and the community as one of our units. My class created a video on our classroom community. Students used the Padcaster to create a video all about our classroom. This will be shown to future first grade students in the beginning of the year. Students planned what they were going to say as well as the scenes to act out. This video was then uploaded to YouTube.
The students were very creative in planning how they wanted their scenes to look. They rehearsed and worked together to have their portion look the way they wanted. Some kids needed more prompting to be louder in the video, which is why I added text below incase you cannot hear them. In the future, I may try to use a hand held microphone so they can all be heard.
