Maureen Wolfe

Math Coach

I am so excited to be teaching and learning with you as part of Amherst's Instructional Coaching Team. I began my career in education in 2005 as a middle school mathematics teacher and transitioned to a coaching role in 2021.

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Childhood Education from Baldwin Wallace College with concentrations in Mathematics and Language Arts, as well as a K-12 Reading Endorsement in 2004. I also earned a Master of Education Degree in the area of Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology from Cleveland State University in 2010.

As the math instructional coach, I coordinate consistent implementation of the district's K-12 math programs by supporting teachers through professional learning sessions, co-planning, and co-teaching. I believe that teacher collaboration is key to creating an equitable learning environment for our students. I am passionate about providing all students the opportunity to explore, investigate, and make mistakes within the classroom setting and value sense-making over memorization. I am eager to collaborate with our teachers this coming year so please feel free to contact me at maureen_wolfe@amherstk12.org.
