#BecomingAmartha
People at Amartha are a team with missions, rather than people working with mere professionalism. For us, the company is not a place to clock in and clock out on a transactional basis, but rather an arena for undertaking greater missions in order to achieve evenly-distributed prosperity and growth in Indonesia.
Each day, we make innovations to facilitate financial access by digitalizing rural economy for the benefits of people at the most bottom of Indonesia’s economy pyramid. We extend our reach to those who have never been included, expanding partnership with them for shared prosperity.
We, the A-Team, are talented youths who love to cooperate with full enthusiasm. We consciously choose Amartha to make a change for this country. For us, success means assisting larger number of informal businesses in achieving advancement by providing access to capitalization for more pre-prosperous families in order to achieve evenly-distributed prosperity and growth in Indonesia as the ultimate goal.
Above and Beyond is the harmonization of those objectives, which is further elaborated in three values and eight DNAs.
Consistently improve the standards in order to provide the best products and services, as well as quality processes.
Never give up in achieving goals by applying a growth mindset in our continuous efforts to enhance our capabilities to be better.
Establish collaboration in making decisions and solving problems.
Communicate and exchange ideas openly and effectively.
Be focused on providing solutions to overcome challenges encountered by customers.
Create meaningful impacts on each and every person through innovations and empowerment.

How do you embrace Delivering Results of your version?
Planning and Organizing are making comprehensive planning from the beginning to the end in order to support the execution of our works.

Strive to achieve great things by using minimum resources. Acknowledge the limitations in order to be able to think creatively and independently. Never consider that great things must be achieved by increasing the number of employees, large budget, or fixed expense.
To be able to overcome various dynamic challenges effectively, you also need to become a flexible and adaptable person so as to be able to adapt yourself quickly. Do not forget to always prepare alternative plans and actions in order to anticipate potential worst risks and situations so that your targets can still be achieved and be active in monitoring the ongoing implementation process hence you can carry out routine evaluation for assessing effectiveness in the field.
How do you initiate Planning and Organizing of your version?
I familiarize myself with the tasks, afterward I can identify the urgent and important ones to be done, the time needed, etc.. I also use google calendar as an aid to remind me in managing my daily work thus my activities are better organized and all of my targets are achieved. Subsequently, I conduct periodic evaluation of the achievements made, in order to ensure achievements in each process.
- Ahmad Yani (AM Sulawesi)
After identifying my targets, I subsequently break them down into monthly, weekly and daily targets. I select activities based on their levels of importance and urgency. I also distribute those tasks and time so that I have time to carry out review and validation. I also arrange the team composition based on the respective strengths and weaknesses so as to complement each other.
- Alamsyah (BM Banyuasin)
I apply the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) cycle as one of the methods for achieving my targets. I understand the expected targets, which strategies to be adopted in order to achieve those targets, how to ensure the execution of those strategies, how to monitor and check them periodically in order to ensure that they are not only implemented but also in accordance with the applicable rules. I do not hesitate to make intervention to maintain consistency and to ensure that it is in accordance with the expectations. In addition, I usually make planning for the next 1 month because I retract each step I need to take way in advance.
- Wandha Anggarayudha (RM Sumatera)

How do you initiate your own version of Resilience?
Despite many obstacles encountered in the field, whether in terms of the field we pass through, system constraints, trouble with the vehicle I use, or even current condition of being pregnant, I keep endeavoring to complete my work.

Looking forward about what else you need to improve or what you need to maintain. You can also ask for inputs from others to better understand yourself. In addition, maximize all of the existing opportunities at Amartha to develop because learning process is not only through training. For example by sharing session, webinar, refreshment related to Amartha’s SOP and products, becoming a PIC of a project, assuming new roles and responsibilities, receiving feedback from others, meeting third parties such as Mitra, lenders, public figures, or having exposure to interaction with various other parties outside Amartha.
