Students will explore the social, cultural, political and technological changes throughout history. This course will delve into the causes and effects of historical events through the use of critical thinking skills. By the end of this course, students will be able to think critically, question conventional accounts of history, and express their opinions in both written and verbal form.

I am currently teaching US History and World History at Norte Vista. I began teaching history at Norte Vista in the 2020-2021 school year. Prior to Norte Vista, I taught in the Hacienda/La Puente Unified School District, teaching US History, World History, Civics and Economics. I also worked as an adjunct professor at Irvine Valley College in 2018. I have a master’s degree in history, with an emphasis in Modern United States History and Civil Rights, from Cal State University, Fullerton. I obtained my teaching credential and a master’s degree in Education from National University. Along with teaching, I am also a basketball coach and have been an assistant coach at Irvine Valley College since the 2017-2018 season.
