Construction Technology III is a capstone course in the Construction Technology Program of Study: Residential and Commercial Construction. Students will reinforce previously learned systems and skills required in the residential and commercial construction industry while learning new systems including: HVAC, intermediate framing, intermediate electrical, plumbing, concrete and estimating. This is a working class where students will build advanced construction projects. In addition, this class will introduce students to the post-secondary opportunities that exist in the building trades, including 2 and 4 year colleges, universities, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and entry level positions in the private and public sector. Enrollment and grade average of “C” or higher in this course is required for access to District approved internship programs. Upon completion of this course, students will earn OSHA 10 certification.
