This year the YMP was looking for a local student to design their first ever logo. The middle and high school students at ALCS participated in the competition.

The students learned about the logo design industry and what steps to use when designing a logo for an organization. They also learned about the importance of layout and color. All of these simple factors are extremely important when designing an effective logo.

Here are all of the logos that were submitted for the competition:

Logo Winner!

The Youth Mural Program selected a logo created by an Aldo Leopold Middle School student, Ivy Stephens- Etheridge! Congratulations Ivy!

Ivy worked extremely hard on this project, developing numerous thumbnails and drafts of the design, to find the best one. Ivy really does have a creative eye for logo design!

Ivy is in 7th grade, and this is her first semester at ALCS. Ivy will be receiving cash, art supplies, and a commemorative tile. Also local fame! This logo will be used on shirts, plaques, and all things YMP! Way to go!
