Spring Schedule

The Spring term begins January 6th and ends April 18th.

During the term, residents will continue to teach in placements and engage in coursework. The Spring Term will follow a hybrid instructional format, with a combination of online (asynchronous and synchronous) and in-person course experiences.

This will be similar to the Fall Term with in-person fieldwork (in your placements), in-person seminar (unless otherwise communicated by your director), and other Alder GSE courses following hybrid formats. If you are transitioning to the Alder Bridge Group or returning from a Leave of Absence (LOA), your spring term may vary and you will receive separate and additional information about what to expect.

Notes: (1) Seminar time is determined by your director. (2) During days/times without synchronous course meetings, residents are still expected to engage in asynchronous coursework as detailed by course instructors. (3) This calendar communicates courses; residents will still be required to be present in placement as scheduled by mentors and directors. (4) Social Science and World Languages methods courses will utilize a synchronous online format: These classes will be held in real time-with classmates and instructors on Zoom at the same time. This format is most similar to an in-person learning environment; expect to have your camera on and to interact with learning materials and each other during class time.

*Please note: Residents earning the bilingual authorization will enroll in one additional course, ED 206 - Bilingual Education Foundations and Practice. This course will be offered in early summer 2025.
