Note: If you will conduct research using people (e.g. interviews, surveys, focus groups, observations, or experiments), you must read the IB's guidelines on ethical research on humans and include the Student Checklist for Ethical Research in your Process Journal.

You must add at least 5 media sources / texts to your MyBib. You must take notes on them and evaluate their credibility in the Research tab of your Process Journal.

- Options include a survey, interview/expert review, structured observations, a focus group, or a documented prototype test.
Students benefit from referencing research in their action plan. If they're able to reference how they incorporate certain pieces of research, it helps demonstrate that they have a stronger, more mapped out plan. This helps them score higher in Criteria Aiii.
Student shows evidence of the use of resources drawn from a wide variety of sources.
Source Types: Media such as websites, blogs, encyclopedias, podcasts, videos, books, magazines, newspapers, scholarly articles. Primary sources include interviews, surveyrs, and field notes/observations.
Student notes should show evidence of explicit evaluation of the credibility of sources, with thorough descriptions of scope, credibility, reliability, accuracy, authority, and point of view (OPVL, SIFT, and lateral reading are tools you can use.) They should consider the limitations and strengths of the sources as well as author bias.
Students should cite all relevant information using MLA in-text citations and a Works Cited page.
