GOA
AISJ is a member of the Global Online Academy (GOA). Students in Grade 10 and the HSP in Grades 11 and 12 may apply to register for one of the 50+ courses offered by GOA. To register for a GOA course at AISJ, students must complete an application. Applications will be considered with the aim of making the course the most successful for students who are accepted.
If a student is accepted into the GOA program at AISJ, they will be scheduled for one block, during which they will go to the Quinlan Library to complete their work. Students will interact with their GOA teacher and classmates on the online learning platform, and they will be supported by the AISJ GOA Site Director. More information on GOA courses and the academy can be found here.
AISJ covers the cost of the GOA course. Parents must reimburse the school if a student does not pass the course.
BYU
BYU Independent Study provides an array of accredited self-paced online courses. The BYU courses are most appropriate for students transferring into AISJ mid-year or those needing a specific credit for their academic pursuits beyond AISJ. Students taking a BYU course will be scheduled one block, during which they will go to the Quinlan Library.
