Sister Sylvia

Sister Sylvia was around at the formation of the AHS and was of course very well know to Lama and Tara.

It was probably around 10 years ago that lama aske me to make contact with Sister Sylvia and to visit her at the Holy Cross Priory, at Heathfield, East Sussex.

My Wife and I spent several years visiting Sister Sylvia until her passing. These visits mostly comprised of very ‘heavy’ discussions on religion, Buddhism especially, psychology and her own life.

Sister Sylvia loved Italy and would speak about her time there a lot. Whether it was teaching English in Rome or living in the hills and by the lakes as a Nun.

Sister Sylvia was a rebel; a Catholic Nun who was also a Buddhist and AHS member. Her book collection was extensive.
