Chomo, Anne Langstone 12 September 1949-22 September 2019
Chomo (an abbreviation of her bodhisattva name) was a quiet person who didn’t talk much about the past, she just got on with the present. She was devoted to AHS and Lama Shenpen and Lama Rigdzin Shikpo, who had given her the Refuge name: Padmasukha, which was so perfectly appropriate.
She told Lama Shenpen that she felt that The Sangha was part of her family.
Chomo also told Lama Shenpen in the last weeks of her life that she was curious and quite looking forward to finding out what would come after her death.
She didn’t drive which gave her friends lots of opportunities for long discussions about Buddhist experiences while giving her lifts.
Chomo practised Tai Chi for many years and latterly Kum Nye as well.
Chomo’s family remember her kindness and support through their life together and her smile which “lit up the room”
Chomo’s family were totally supportive of the funeral plan she had written and three generations gathered at The Hermitage to scatter her ashes.
