Year 10 SILVER DofE Launch 2019-2020
Silver DofE is launching after a small delay this year.
It will take you at least 6 months for Silver if you’ve already achieved your Bronze, or 12 months if you’ve jumped straight into Silver.
– Volunteering section: 6 months
– Physical and Skills sections: One section for 6 months and the other section for 3 months
– Expedition section: 3 days/2 nights
If you didn’t do Bronze you can still apply, you must undertake a further 6 months in either the Volunteering or the longer of the Physical or Skills sections. You should have finished or be just one section away from finishing your Bronze award.
To enrol, the following must both be completed;
1) £40 enrolment fee must be paid on ParentPay (This should be available for payment by Monday 15th of July)
2) The enrolment form linked here must be completed by a parent.
This will enable Mr Jones to purchase your place and enrol you to the eDofE website. Failure to complete one of the steps above will delay your official enrolment on the award and to eDofE.

Following the Parents Information Evening held on Wednesday 10th of July, the presentation is shared below.

New Information Added
New information has been added to the Kit List Page giving some advice on clothing, stoves and tents for your DofE Expedition. Read it here
Kit Rental Information Added
The following Notice was in the Daily Bulletin from 14th of February
"All Year 10 pupils taking part in the upcoming DofE Bronze Expeditions should by now have completed the expedition availability form which was shared on ParentPortal in November. The deadline for this was 5th of January and there are still 30+ participants who have not completed it. Failure to complete this form will result in you not receiving the information required from Zest for Adventure and may result in you not getting your preferred dates.
In preparation for your expedition you will need to arrange equipment. A kit list can be seen on the school DofE website which can be accessed by clicking 'ags life' then 'dofe' and following the link. I have also added details explaining how to rent kit from the Kit Store in Green Park, Aston Clinton."
