Arranging an Expedition with an AAP

What is an AAP?

AAP stands for Approved Activity Provider. An AAP Licence is a quality standard which shows that an organisation's programme has been proven to meet the requirements of the DofE Expedition, Residential and/or Volunteering section. DofE participants can use the services of an AAP with confidence.

Why do we suggest using an AAP for expedition at AGS?

We have small numbers taking part in the Gold award at the moment and as such have sometimes found it difficult to arrange, staff and fill expeditions arranged solely for the school group. To keep costs down and to allow participants to pick their own experiences, we suggest using and AAP.

How do I find an expedition with an AAP?

Visit the DofE Opportunity Finder Website. This website has appropriate expedition and residential opportunities for you to consider. It is up to you whether you book onto an expedition alone, as a pair or in a group.
