That's it: we are partners, working together as a community of educators to create and curate resources to help each other pivot our curriculum for medical learners during a pandemic, such as the one we're facing right now with COVID-19.
Our philosophy is simple: curation is key. You won't see us hosting or linking to loads of resources. Instead, we are focused on identifying the resources which should provide you with the greatest support. We specifically look for
Open-access resources,
Resources and platforms that require no (or minimal) personal information,
Lack of evident bias, and
Relevance to health professional educators and their learners.
There will be more pandemics and other scenarios, such as natural disasters, which will require medical educators to pivot in the future as well. So, we're building this on-line resource to be a one-stop place to find materials and resources to help you.
PIVOT MedEd is a project of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) Faculty Development Network.
We hope you find this growing set of resources helpful to you!
