Creative Curriculum

Music

Our inclusive and innovative music curriculum intends to inspire pupils to be inquisitive, creative and self-expressive. It encourages all our children to push their limits and discover what is possible on their musical journey. It enables children to have the opportunities to connect with others and to foster a lifelong love of music by exposing them to diverse musical experiences and ignite a passion for music. By listening and responding to different musical styles, finding their voices as singers and performers and as composers, all will enable them to become confident, reflective musicians.

Art & Design 

At North Thoresby & Utterby Primary Academies our art and design curriculum aims to inspire inquisitive pupils and develop their confidence to experiment, invent and be innovative with their own works of art. The curriculum is designed to be inclusive for all and give pupils every opportunity to develop their ability, nurture their talent and interests, express their ideas and thoughts about the world, as well as learning about the rich heritage culture of the British Isles and beyond. 

Our curriculum supports pupils to meet the National curriculum end of key stage attainment targets and has been written to cover the National Society for Education in art and design’s progression competencies.
