Butterflies
About Butterflies Class
Children in Butterflies will start the day with a choice of Breakfast and will eat with their peers. This will improve communication skills and the growing skills of being independent.
Every morning we sit together to sing our morning song, days of the week and nursery rhymes. This is to support social skills and to focus for longer periods of time.
All children will then be supported in all areas of their learning throughout the day for phonics, reading, writing, maths and topic. Butterflies will also enjoy freeplay where they will extend their learning through play. This will support their learning in social and emotional development, communication and language, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
Butterflies will also take part in daily activities such as, dough disco, music and movement and the bucket games to support memory, cognitive development, fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and self-esteem.
One day a week we will also take part in P.E, Allotment, Library and Music.
At the end of every day we all come together as a group,we get ready for home time, we share a story and sing our good-bye song.
