User Stories

User stories are short, simple descriptions of a feature told from the perspective of the person who desires the new capability, usually a user or customer of the system.

They typically follow a simple structure:

As a < type of user >, I want < some goal > so that < some reason >. User stories typically include acceptance criteria to further explain the goals of the user.

User Story Template Printable Template - This allows for team members to articulate who is the end-user, what is the goal and benefit of the product/project deliverable. We recommend using sticky notes when writing out user stories but this template makes it easy!
