Anxiety can be described as an overwhelming feeling of unease and discomfort. Alongside these intense feeling the individual may also experience physical sweating, racing heart, palpitations or rapid breathing and other physical changes. These feelings can last a short while and in the short term most can manage to cope with it for the initial period. This feeling of anxiety doesn’t suddently go away over time for most. It is possible to feel anxiety the majority part of your day, night-time attacks where you can wake up with panic rising and it can take over their daily lives, ruling over other emotions. It can become so intense that they will find they want to avoid the situations that cause them most anxiety. This can lead into not been able to leave the home, giving up their jobs and becoming so ill and withdrawing from normality. An example of this is where they can start not going to certain places or enjoy activities they would have done previously and to where it can become too stressful to leave the house at all.
The main types of anxiety include-
