Baseline Face - Draw a face in three views - front, 3/4, and profile view. This is to establish your current understanding of the placement of facial features, and to identify areas to work on. You may reference photos, get a classmate to model, or use the attached references.
OUTV Method - In your sketchbook, try three faces using the OUTV method. To be done in class.
Loomis Head Practice 3/4 View - In your sketchbook, try Loomis's method for constructing a 3/4 view of the head. Do three heads seen in 3/4 view.
Wrapping the Facial Features Around the Head - Imagine the face as a flexible mask. Practice wrapping the features around the plane of the head. This exercise will help you to line up eyes and noses on the axis of the face from different angles.
