Course Competencies

• Everyday “costumes”.  What are you wearing?  Where was it made?  What is it made out of?  Why do you wear it? What does it reveal?  What does it hide?  What does it communicate?  How has your ‘costume’ evolved over the last 10 years?  Analysis of different “everyday costumes”.  Time, place, gender, social class, occupation, personality etc.

• Draw a human figure from head to toe

• Into to costume design notes, reading/response

• Interpreting  and manipulating the elements: Line, shape, value, texture, color, etc
