I was born here in La Paz, but raised in the US since I was an infant, living first in Riverside, California, and later in Inverness, Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida with my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education with a focus on English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and a minor in Spanish. I soon after began my teaching career at Inverness Primary School in Inverness, Florida, teaching 4th grade. I later went on to teach 4th and 5th grade Math and Science at the Koç School in Istanbul, Turkey, and then 4th grade at the Santa Cruz Cooperative School in Santa Cruz. This is my 8th year in teaching at ACS, and I love living and working here.
My parents and sister still live in Florida, and my brother lives in New York City. I love to visit them every chance I get, and I am lucky that they can come to visit often as well. In the meantime, I enjoy spending quality time with my large extended family here, including my grandmother, cousins, aunts, and uncles. I also enjoy singing in the choir Coral Nova in my spare time.
