Our goal was to make a doll, whose movements are controlled. At first, we wanted her to have only one movement, which was to turn around. We found a cylinder, which was able to do that, and we started researching how to connect it to a whole system. First, we started out with an air compressor, then we found out that we needed a tank, because the air can not be transported directly from the compressor into the air distributors. Then, after a lot of research, we made a diagram of our system. But during that time, we found another cylinder, which was able to make a 180 degree turn, and another movement of up and down. So we decided to make the system a little bit more complicated, because we wanted our doll to have more movements. Lastly, we added the check valves, which controlled the speed of the movements of our doll. We were especially surprised, when we switched the tubes of the air distributors, and we saw the change in the direction of the movements. We are really happy with our Robotic princess, because we researched a lot about how the system behind it should be, and seeing the model come to life is really rewarding.
