How this class operates:
All levels operate by you learning skills and then applying those skills to a culminating task (Unit Standard). If you do not learn the skills, you will not be able to successfully complete the culminating task. If you find yourself at the culminating task and feel like you do not understand, you need to go back and make sure you have the proper skills. Your final grade will be based on your culminating task, the Unit Standard(s). These units are designed for mastery. If you do not meet the Unit Standard(s) you can refresh your skills and try again.
This is similar to baking a cake. Reading a recipe, measuring the ingredients, cracking the eggs, combining them in the right order, are all skills that make the cake. As you work through the unit you will learn these skills but will not be graded on these skills. You will be graded on your ability to make the cake. If your first cake fails, learn from your mistakes, and give it another shot!
