Families who have experienced the loss of a job or income may be eligible for SNAP benefits to help buy food. The CT Department of Social Services is providing additional benefits to nearly half of CT SNAP participants, and many application interviews are being waived. Families are encouraged to visit SNAP on ct.gov for more information and to apply.

As of 3/20/20, intakes are still being held for families seeking non-emergency outpatient mental health services for their child. The walk-in hours are Monday 12:00 – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Thursday and Friday 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 331 Wethersfield Avenue, Hartford, CT.
**The Village for Families and Children is offering telephone counseling for families that are already connected to services and are concerned about COVID-19.
