We deeply value our partnership with you in creating a welcoming, respectful environment for our entire school community. Together, families and AF staff share responsibility in upholding our school’s values in every interaction. To maintain a safe, calm, and productive learning environment, we want to take a moment to remind all community members of the following expectations regarding communication and behavior on and off campus, as stated on page 33 of the Family Handbook:
Mutual Respect: All interactions between families, scholars, staff, and visitors must be respectful and civil. If at any point a conversation becomes disrespectful or escalates, either party may pause the discussion and reschedule for a later time.
Positive Communication: Conversations should maintain an appropriate tone, volume, and content. Disrespectful interactions (such as name-calling, frequent interruptions, profanity, or threatening language) is strictly prohibited.
Managing Concerns: If you have a formal or informal concern, please follow our family concerns procedure as outlined on pages 35-37 of the Family Handbook, which is attached to this message for your reference.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priority. Thus, violations of these expectations may result in consequences, including written warnings, requirements for scheduling future meetings in writing, or restrictions of access to the campus. Thank you for your continued partnership in fostering a safe, positive, and respectful environment for everyone at Achievement First. If you have any questions or need assistance, reach out to your child’s school (via text, email, or phone).
