Dora is a native to the Southern Aroostook area where she currently lives. Having first been part of

the Maine Families program as a parent, after her first daughter was born, Dora brings experience

and excitement to her work with children and families. As she was finishing her Bachelor’s Degree,

Dora joined the Maine Families team, as a Family Visitor, in 2000. This is when she fell in love with

the program and work! Since 2000, she has held various positions. Currently Dora is the Program

Manager and she continues visiting with a few families. Having a baby is such a special time, filled

with so many emotions. It is both exciting and scary, at the same time, and Dora feels so grateful to

be invited into families’ homes where she learns parents’ stories and hears what they hope and

dream for their family. Being present as parents and babies fall in love with each other is a true

honor. Dora especially loves being a parent’s cheerleader, encouraging them when things are tough,

and reminding them that they have got this!

Dora and her husband are newly “empty nesters” as they have 2 adult daughters. She’s very thankful

to be surrounded by many nephews, nieces, as well as great nephews and nieces! In her spare time,

she loves to exercise, walk, travel, find coastal trails in Maine to hike, and spend time with her family.

Adrienne joined the Maine Families team in 2023 as a Family Visitor. She has a Bachelor's Degree in

Elementary Education. Prior to this role, she has worked as a Family Visitor and preschool teacher.

After living in Southern Maine for many years, she moved back to Aroostook County. She decided

that her work with families was her true passion and is grateful for the opportunity to be in this role

once again. What Adrienne likes best about her job is the opportunity to meet new parents and their

babies. It is an honor to be able to connect with parents as they welcome a new baby into their

family. Parenting is such a unique journey for everyone. Children teach us many valuable lessons

along the way. They help us to remember to slow down and find joy in the simple things. I am so

grateful to be able to share in the moments of their journey!

Adrienne enjoys walks, spending time at the beach, road trips, and traveling to Arizona each year to

visit family. She lives in Caribou with her husband and has 2 adult children, a son and a daughter.

Courtney was born and raised in Houlton. She’s also lived in Virginia and Central Maine for a short

time but couldn’t stay away from Aroostook for too long- this is home! Prior to joining Maine Families

in 2016 as a Family Visitor, Courtney worked in case management, for about 3 years, with children.

There’s so much she loves about the work that Maine Families does, but her #1 favorite would be the

opportunity to make connections with so many different families and children. Being able to watch

little ones grow and learn, alongside their caregivers, is such a fun privilege!

When Courtney is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband and 2 kiddos. They love

crafting, baking, playing outside…having young children keeps her busy!

Dawn has lived in Aroostook County all her life. She graduated from UMPI with a degree in social

work. She began her career of working with children and families as a Family Integration Specialist

in treatment foster care, Family Support Worker with Maine Caring Families Foster Care Program, and

as a Targeted Case Manager at Life by Design for children with special needs. As her family grew,

Dawn owned and operated a licensed daycare in her home for a year after her daughter was born.

Being drawn to children and families, Dawn joined Maine Families in October of 2011 and is the Site

Lead in Caribou. Dawn is passionate about visiting with families and being a Certified Lactation

Counselor! Seeing parents and children play and make memories together is her favorite part of her

job! Being part of a child’s first steps or words is a gift! She loves to point out a parent’s strengths,

that they didn’t realize they had, and support them in being the expert of their child. Plus, babies and

toddlers are so fun to watch as they learn new skills and get excited about everything from a box to

a book or bubbles! This all brings her joy!

In her spare time, Dawn enjoys baking, hiking, reading, and planting flowers and veggies! She also

enjoys a good scary movie and playing board games with her husband and kids! Dawn and her family

have one cat, Bailey, who they call “Meow-Meow”!
