Teachers lookout for cues from students who may benefit from using the sensory path. These cues include:
high level of activity or energy
easily distracted
drowsiness, fatigue
irritability
outburst
"shut down"
cover ears to avoid loud sounds or certain sounds
closes eyes to avoid bright lights
avoid touch
fidgeting and restlessness
makes poor eye contact
glazed-over look in eyes
