Introduction

Experience 1

Supplies:

1-2 small bags of Skittles

1-2 small bags of M&M's

Separate the green and yellow candies to use here.

Begin with the green and yellow Skittles on a plate and the green and yellow M&M's set aside.

Experience 2

Materials (some of the following):

  • Pipe cleaners

  • Toothpicks

  • Colored circles/buttons

  • Colored construction paper

  • White paper

  • Markers

  • Scissors

  • Tape and plastic bags

Activity:

  1. Discuss the problem the chameleon has at the end.

  2. How can humans camouflage themselves? Discuss how to camouflage yourself to hide in the living room or bedroom.

  3. Take turns with your student to test your ideas and see who can create the best camouflage.
